📋 Description

• Implement the testing program technically, from frontend implementation in the Shopify theme to backend logic using Shopify Functions and custom apps • Develop A/B tests and personalization initiatives end to end for the Shopify Plus store • Implement A/B and multivariate tests in Kameleoon using JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3 • Develop and optimize sections, templates, and snippets in the Shopify theme using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS), and JavaScript • Incorporate successful test variants into the production codebase • Develop Shopify Functions for discounts, cart and checkout transformations, and validation rules • Model data structures using metafields and metaobjects • Design, develop, and operate custom apps with Node.js/TypeScript, Remix, and Shopify CLI • Develop internal admin tools, Checkout UI Extensions, and app blocks for the storefront • Integrate ERP, CRM, and marketing systems via the Admin API (GraphQL), webhooks, and event-driven workflows • Work with rate limits, function constraints, and Checkout Extensibility • Ensure tests are measurable through event and goal setup and data transfer to GA4 / BigQuery • Perform QA across relevant browsers, devices, and markets • Monitor performance and stability while preventing flicker and layout shifts (CLS) • Document code • Purposefully use and help develop standards for AI tools in the workflow • Contribute to agile processes using Git, pull requests, and code reviews • Support deployments via CI/CD, such as GitHub Actions • Collaborate closely with the CRO Lead, Web Development team, and external agencies • Gradually assume technical ownership of the experimentation setup

🎯 Requirements

• Several years of experience in full-stack development in an e-commerce environment, ideally with Shopify / Shopify Plus • Practical experience with Shopify Functions and developing Shopify custom apps • Strong command of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3 (SCSS), and Liquid • Experience with A/B testing tools such as Kameleoon, VWO, or Optimizely, or a strong willingness to get up to speed quickly • Understanding of metafields / metaobjects, the Admin API, and webhooks • Experience with AI-assisted coding, such as Claude, Copilot, or Cursor, and an interest in continuous learning • Basic understanding of web analytics and tracking (GA4, data layer), as well as performance metrics (Core Web Vitals) • Confident working with Git, code reviews, and CI/CD pipelines, such as GitHub Actions • Thorough, detail-oriented approach with high quality standards • Excellent communication skills, strong team orientation, and a hands-on mentality • Must be permanently based in Germany
