📋 Description

• Take complete operational and deployment ownership of the network stack across APAC sites • Bring up and operate OOB networks, console setups, management L2 switches, high-scale EVPN/VXLAN leaf-spine fabrics, and regional DCI/backbone boundaries using BGP/MPLS/SRv6 • Independently triage, debug, and deliver connectivity in greenfield colocation environments • Make architectural and operational decisions when counterpart oversight is unavailable • Collaborate with core architecture, backbone, and platform teams in the EU and US • Own regional operational handoffs and participate in global on-call rotations • Conduct network changes in coordinated regional maintenance windows • Onboard new engineers and write rigorous runbooks • Transfer operational pipelines to incoming team members as the APAC team scales • Adapt deployment schedules, cluster locations, and priorities to customer demand • Visit domestic and regional sites periodically and travel occasionally to the Amsterdam engineering headquarters

🎯 Requirements

• Solid hands-on experience operating Service Provider or Scale Data Center networks • Deep working knowledge of BGP, IS-IS or OSPF, EVPN/VXLAN, SR-MPLS/SRv6, ECMP load balancing, and L3VPN architectures • Strong diagnostic skills in multi-tier Clos fabrics • Practical mastery of TCP/IP, IPv4/IPv6 dual-stack environments, tcpdump, Wireshark, interface error rates, and QoS queue behavior • Experience with network operational pipelines, management switches, OOB routers, and BGP policy on edge borders • Practical configuration and troubleshooting experience with Juniper Junos, Cisco IOS-XR, Arista EOS, or NVIDIA/Cumulus • Ability to self-direct and prioritize backlogs under ambiguous requirements • Ability to maintain working overlap with European CEST and US EST/PST teams when critical milestones occur • Professional working proficiency in English • Ability to document complex systems clearly and communicate concisely under Sev-1 pressure • Applicants must be authorized to work in the country in which they apply and provide proof of employment eligibility • Added bonus: Python or Go, Git, NetBox, telemetry pipelines, RoCEv2, APAC telecom/carrier and Internet Exchange experience, Linux networking, bridge-domains, and host-routed container networking
