New Yorkers For Children is a New York City nonprofit that supports youth in and aging out of the foster care system. The organization partners with the NYC Administration for Children's Services to provide academic, professional, financial, and personal support—focused especially on older youth transitioning to independence—to improve educational and life outcomes. Since 1996 NYFC has distributed roughly $70 million, serves about 1,000 youth in direct services annually, offers post-secondary support and pioneering programs, and provides resources such as back-to-school packages, stipends, tutoring, advocacy, and technology to help scholars complete degrees and thrive as independent adults.
