📋 Description

• Participate in Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and planning • Design, develop, test, and maintain backend functionality using Java/Spring Boot and frontend functionality using React/Next.js • Improve the existing production codebase by reducing technical debt and increasing maintainability • Refactor complex legacy components while ensuring comprehensive automated test coverage • Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following engineering best practices • Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, QA, and Engineers to deliver customer-facing features • Collaborate with QA to write end-to-end tests and own the full feature lifecycle from planning through production deployment • Review code, provide constructive feedback, and improve engineering standards • Own features from implementation through deployment and production support • Identify opportunities for technical improvements and process optimization • Stay current with modern development practices and use AI-powered development tools to improve productivity and code quality • Deliver reliable, scalable, and maintainable software that provides business value • Participate in hiring processes by serving on interview panels for future roles

🎯 Requirements

• 6+ years of professional software development experience building and maintaining production applications • Strong hands-on experience with Java 11+, Spring Boot, and modern backend development • Experience working with legacy and modernized systems • Strong experience with React, TypeScript, and Next.js • Solid experience with relational databases, particularly PostgreSQL, including SQL development, data modeling, and performance optimization • Experience with JPA/Hibernate and database migration tools such as Flyway or similar • Proven experience maintaining and modernizing large existing codebases while continuing to deliver new customer-facing features • Strong commitment to writing and maintaining automated tests, especially when refactoring legacy code • Ability to safely refactor complex systems, improve code quality, and reduce technical debt without disrupting production • Experience using modern AI coding tools for AI-assisted code review, test generation, context management, or custom development agents • Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively within cross-functional Agile teams • Ability to independently own features from design through production deployment while maintaining high engineering standards • Legal work authorization in the country of residence, verified by documentation
