📋 Description

• Develop Databricks pipelines and enhance existing pipelines • Work with business-critical data while closely monitoring business stakeholders • Apply data engineering best practices to produce high-quality, highly available, intuitive, and trusted data models • Scope and implement new entities for the unified data model • Interface with business customers, gather requirements, and develop new datasets • Identify and address data quality issues promptly • Extract and combine data from heterogeneous data sources • Design, implement, and support a platform providing ad-hoc access to large datasets • Model data and metadata to support machine learning and AI • Support integration efforts from acquisitions as necessary • Collaborate with product teams, data engineers, and clinical leaders to expose data products for internal and external clients

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required in computer science, information technology, or related field • Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and practices • Working knowledge of Python, Spark, and SQL • Demonstrated experience with software development life cycle best practices, including documentation, coding standards, code reviews, source control management, deployment processes, testing, and operations • Familiarity with normalized, dimensional, star schema, and snowflake schema data models • Healthcare domain and data experience • Working experience with Databricks preferred • Databricks/Microsoft Azure Certification is a plus • Strong written and oral communication skills • 10+ years of experience working with diverse healthcare data sources, such as claims, encounters, ADT data, FHIR, and EHR data • 8+ years using cloud-based services from AWS, GCP, or Azure • Strong SQL and Spark debugging skills • Ability to work as an independent contributor
