📋 Description

• Design, build, and deploy scalable backend services, APIs, and data pipelines primarily using Python on Google Cloud Platform • Develop new backend capabilities using Python while maintaining and enhancing existing Java services • Use Python frameworks, testing tools, APIs, and cloud services to deliver reliable and scalable backend solutions • Integrate AI/LLM capabilities into backend applications and support modern AI-driven workflows • Modernize and optimize cloud infrastructure for high availability, scalability, and reliability • Leverage GitHub Copilot and other AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and code quality • Identify, prioritize, and remediate security vulnerabilities to ensure application safety and data protection • Conduct code reviews, promote engineering best practices, maintain high test coverage, and produce technical documentation • Collaborate with product, data, and infrastructure teams to deliver backend solutions

🎯 Requirements

• 5–8+ years of professional backend engineering experience with strong Python development skills • Strong hands-on experience building scalable backend services, REST APIs, and data pipelines using Python • Professional experience with Java, including maintaining, troubleshooting, and contributing to existing Java services • Experience with Python backend frameworks such as FastAPI, Flask, or Django • Experience with testing frameworks such as pytest • Deep expertise with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and cloud-native architectures • Experience designing and maintaining microservices and distributed systems • Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and AI/ML backend integration patterns • Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot • Application security experience identifying and remediating codebase and dependency vulnerabilities • Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration • Strong written and verbal English proficiency
