📋 Description

• Take responsibility for Public Relations and Earned Media in the German market • Secure interviews, press coverage, and thought leadership opportunities for the brand and leadership team • Serve as the dedicated press contact • Pitch and place stories • Build and maintain relationships with press contacts in the German consumer and fintech/lottery sectors • Independently create press releases, pitches, and briefing documents • Manage interview placements and prepare the CEO and senior executives strategically • Support corporate influencer activities, including LinkedIn ghostwriting and brand management support for the CEO • Collaborate with the Brand Owner, Content, and Social Media teams • Manage issues and crisis communications • Coordinate freelancers and agencies • Work with Compliance and ensure adherence to advertising regulations applicable to lotteries • Build and maintain long-term relationships with journalists across the DACH region • Establish a PR operating system, including press materials, an editorial calendar, and a story-angle pipeline

🎯 Requirements

• 5–7 years of experience in PR, Earned Media, or Communications • Strong consumer experience; not an exclusively B2B profile • Demonstrable press contacts in German consumer media across the DACH region • Proven success securing interview placements and Earned Coverage • Experience with corporate influencing and executive thought leadership • Excellent knowledge of the German and DACH media landscape • Native-level or business-fluent German • Very good English skills • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience • Agency background is a plus • Experience in regulated industries and crisis communications is a plus • Experience building the personal brands of founders or executives is a plus • Confident executive ghostwriting skills • Experience working in a startup/scale-up environment with uncertainty
