📋 Description

• Work on the virtualization stack (QEMU, QAPI, QMP) and VM optimization • Leverage Linux kernel features to enhance hypervisor performance and stack functionality • Research, propose, and integrate relevant open-source projects based on product objectives • Provide technical expertise and leadership for the team • Develop and engineer software running on hosts in Akamai data centers • Help with hiring, training, coaching, and mentoring • Work in an agile team developing innovative solutions and bringing new products to market

🎯 Requirements

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in optimized software running on large distributed production environments • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science • Experience developing software on the Linux kernel • Proficiency in writing organized, efficient, and well-documented Python code • Experience developing systems software on Linux • Good understanding of Linux internals, processes and threads, cgroups, and resource management • Knowledge of NUMA architecture, CPU topology, memory locality, and scheduling • Experience designing abstract software architectures from ideas through implementation • QEMU, scheduling, live migrations, memory organization, APIs, and debugging are advantageous • Knowledge of Go or Perl is advantageous
