📋 Description

• Scale the Flights product from a working 1-to-10 product into robust flight infrastructure • Make decisions on API design, caching, data models, and reliability • Build low-code API infrastructure for fintechs, super-apps, and other partners • Cache flight offers while balancing speed, cost efficiency, price freshness, and availability • Handle booking changes, cancellations, and refunds across airlines and suppliers • Design simple APIs that allow partners to launch flight products without deep airline expertise • Support NDC and offer and order based retailing (OOSD) alongside legacy GDS flows • Work as a hands-on individual contributor in a small engineering team

🎯 Requirements

• Experience working in the flights domain, at an OTA, airline, GDS, distributor, or flight booking platform • Understanding of flight bookings end to end • Hands-on experience with NDC • 8+ years in software development • Deep backend and API experience • Real experience with Python, even if the main language is another object-oriented language such as Java, Go, or Kotlin • Hands-on individual contributor who wants to remain one • Based in Europe or comfortable working in a European time zone • AWS experience at developer level is a strong plus • Booking servicing experience is a strong plus • GDS integrations such as Amadeus, Sabre, or Travelport are a strong plus • Experience with high-traffic systems, FastAPI, Redis, and relational databases is a strong plus
