• Work with suppliers to baseline and enhance SMT processes to improve product quality, reliability, and manufacturability • Establish and enforce Critical to Quality process control monitors • Determine supplier manufacturing limits and critical process CpKs • Drive improvements in product quality and reliability • Review new product designs and partner with contract manufacturers to perform DFx and process characterization • Ensure mass production launch readiness • Provide feedback to NVIDIA design to optimize PCBA DFx • Monitor SMT process KPI data on NPI and mass production builds • Drive suppliers to corrective action and six sigma quality goals • Plan and execute R&D programs and DOE’s to meet product performance and customer reliability requirements • Work with contract manufacturers and ODMs to implement new materials and technologies • Review and improve manufacturing practices and processes at assembly and system levels • Manage NVIDIA’s local and regional EMS supply SMT process activities and quality levels in Vietnam and the Southeast Asia region
• BS/MS or equivalent experience in Materials Sciences or Chemistry • 5+ years of experience developing and using PCBA materials and SMTA manufacturing processes at board assembly and system levels • Extensive expertise in PCBA technologies and manufacturing • Strong background in quality and supplier management • Proven expertise with complex PCB assemblies, materials, and signal integrity challenges • Experience with high-speed 25 GBPS+ signal designs • Automotive, aerospace, and/or military PCBA/SMT and related material technologies experience is a plus • Ability to work and communicate effectively with Hardware, Signal Integrity, and Reliability Engineering teams domestically and offshore • Ability to establish close working relationships with engineering teams • Self-driven with minimal supervision • Excellent English and Mandarin oral and written communication skills • Willingness and ability to travel within the Asia region • In-depth knowledge of industry specifications and requirements is a differentiator • Strong problem-solving, conflict-resolution, and influencing skills • Hands-on and management experience with SMTA processes in a manufacturing environment
