📋 Description

• Design and build custom software in Go to enhance platform reliability, resiliency, and redundancy • Partner with engineering teams to embed reliability principles and improve service availability, performance, and observability • Identify infrastructure and observability improvement opportunities and implement solutions • Participate in a follow-the-sun on-call rotation during standard local working hours • Troubleshoot, mitigate, or accurately escalate critical production incidents • Develop and refine SRE tooling and processes, emphasizing automation and operational efficiency • Define, document, and champion reliability best practices across the organisation

🎯 Requirements

• Proven experience in a production environment supporting large-scale, mission-critical applications with a high degree of autonomy • Proficiency in at least one programming language, preferably Go; comfortable writing custom applications, not just scripts • Experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker, and ArgoCD • Demonstrable expertise in Azure, AWS, or GCP • Strong grasp of microservices architecture, SQL and NoSQL databases, and networking fundamentals • Understanding of SRE principles, including SLIs, SLOs, and error budgets • Experience in an on-call rotation for a 24/7 cloud-based environment • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills • Ability to work effectively in a remote, distributed team • Proactive and systematic problem-solving approach with a high degree of ownership
