📋 Description

• Own complex engineering problems from first principles through production • Design simple, scalable, reliable systems and make architectural decisions • Build primarily backend systems while working across frontend, infrastructure, data, and AI as needed • Prototype quickly, test approaches, and make evidence-based decisions • Work with AI tools, LLMs, agents, APIs, and providers • Build automation and internal tooling • Improve engineering quality, architecture, and development practices across the company • Help engineers resolve difficult technical problems and raise the technical bar • Influence product, architecture, and engineering culture as part of a small core team

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience • Strong track record of building and owning production systems • Deep backend engineering ability with breadth across the stack • Strong system design and architectural judgment • Ability to operate independently in ambiguous environments • High ownership and strong product judgment • Experimental, iterative mindset; ability to prototype, benchmark, automate, and continuously improve • Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies quickly • Strong interest in AI-assisted development and modern engineering workflows • Experience at Staff, Principal, Architect, or equivalent level is a strong signal, but demonstrated ability is valued more than titles • Short Loom/video highlighting career, interesting projects, and fit required as part of the application
