📋 Description

• Build across the payments platform, including the embeddable SDK, payment services, tokenization boundaries, webhooks, and reconciliation flows • Develop hosted-fields integration with iframe isolation and a gateway-agnostic API • Design client-side state handling for declines, 3DS, retries, and timeouts • Build session intent and gateway routing services • Implement tokenization boundaries, idempotency, HMAC-signed request flows, webhook logic, and reconciliation • Manage platform versioning and deprecation without breaking live merchants • Provide observability across the payment path • Improve the developer experience for engineers integrating with the platform • Work directly with product and client stakeholders • Clarify requirements, escalate ambiguity early, challenge incorrect approaches, and deliver autonomous, high-quality work

🎯 Requirements

• 7+ years building production software across frontend and backend • Strong React and TypeScript skills • Understanding of rendering behavior, state boundaries, effect lifecycles, and component API design • Strong backend engineering skills with .NET and React as the core stack • Ability to design services, reason about API contracts, debug across the stack, and contribute to architecture discussions • Payment systems experience, including gateway APIs, tokenization, hosted fields, webhooks, reconciliation, or equivalent correctness-critical domain experience • Security fundamentals including same-origin policy, CSP, CORS, XSS vectors, iframe isolation, and token handling • Daily use of Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or equivalent agentic AI tools • Testing discipline and experience writing tests • Strongly preferred: Java, Kotlin, and Quarkus experience • Hands-on experience with gateway and tokenization stacks • PCI DSS scope reduction and SAQ A or SAQ A-EP experience • 3D Secure 2 implementation experience • Cloud and DevOps exposure with Azure or AWS • CI/CD ownership • Comfort working with incomplete specifications, changing requirements, autonomy, and direct product/client stakeholder interaction
