📋 Description

• Liaise internally with mortgage brokers and the VA team, and externally with lenders, bank portals, and compliance bodies as required • Perform detailed preliminary credit assessments • Run Quickli servicing calculations • Evaluate Equifax credit reports • Verify client documents • Calculate complex borrowing capacities, including non-standard and self-employed income scenarios • Identify and resolve complex lending scenarios, including construction progress payments and irregular income structures • Anticipate lender requirements before they become issues • Ensure applications adhere to Australian credit licensing compliance standards, lender credit guides, LVR boundaries, and privacy regulations • Review, verify, and quality-check AOL data entered by the VA before submission • Maintain zero-error standards across major bank and non-bank lender portals • Source required lender forms, resolve submission issues, and manage rework to protect turnaround times • Maintain accurate deal tracking, file notes, and workflow automation within Connective Mercury • Keep the pipeline clean, up to date, and moving; flag risks or blockers to the broker promptly • Directly supervise, train, and guide the offshore VA's day-to-day workflow • Build the VA's capability and develop proactive problem-solving habits • Set clear expectations, consistently review work quality, and escalate issues where required

🎯 Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the Australian mortgage broking industry in credit assessment, loan processing, or senior broker support • Minimum 1 year of direct people management experience, with a genuine willingness to mentor and develop team members • Strong technical credit depth, non-standard income verification, credit score threshold analysis, LVR boundaries, and lender policy interpretation • Advanced, hands-on proficiency across Connective Mercury, Quickli, AOL, bank serviceability calculators, and lender portals • Exceptional written communication skills and extreme attention to detail • Ability to execute quickly and accurately in a high-volume, fast-paced environment • Alignment with an inclusive, open-minded workplace culture and diverse client base values • Connective Mercury CRM proficiency • Quickli serviceability and borrowing capacity modelling • Advanced, hands-on ApplyOnline (AOL) proficiency • Proficiency with individual bank serviceability calculators and lender portals • Preferred: exposure to Broker Engine, CoreLogic, or Salesforce • Preferred: experience managing or mentoring offshore or remote VA teams • Preferred: background handling high-volume broker pipelines across multiple lenders simultaneously
