📋 Description

• Design and ship ML systems for document understanding, extraction, classification, matching, ranking, scoring and recommendations • Contribute to Copilot and Autopilot experiences, including Bookkeeping Autopilot and Revision Autopilot • Own the full lifecycle of solutions: problem framing, data and labeling strategy, baselines, training, evaluation, deployment, experimentation, monitoring and maintenance • Turn user corrections and production failures into better datasets, models and product behavior • Define quality metrics including precision, recall, automation coverage, straight-through processing, human correction rate, latency and cost • Partner with Product, Engineering and accounting experts to understand workflows and integrate ML into the user experience • Select reliable approaches including deterministic logic, classical ML, deep learning or generative AI • Improve shared ML engineering practices, reusable components, experimentation, observability, data quality and training/inference pipelines • Monitor emerging ML and AI techniques, including multimodal and generative models • Own an Embedded AI use case end to end and ship improvements to Copilot or Autopilot • Lead larger cross-team ML projects and help shape the Embedded AI roadmap • Improve reliability, automation coverage and maintainability of production systems • Share best practices across the ML & AI team

🎯 Requirements

• 5–8 years of experience • Very strong Python skills • Hands-on experience building and operating machine learning systems at scale in production • Ability to frame ambiguous product problems, establish baselines and select useful metrics • Strong experience in several of: document AI, NLP, classification, ranking, recommendation, anomaly detection, deep learning or generative AI • Care for data quality, observability, failure modes, cost and long-term maintainability • Balanced technical, business and product skills • Ability to communicate with software engineers, product managers and non-technical domain experts • Fluent in English; French is not mandatory • Full work authorization in France, Spain, Portugal, Germany, Italy, the UK, Ireland, Greece, Poland, Romania or Croatia • No visa sponsorship available • Experience with accounting, fintech or other high-trust business workflows is nice to have • Experience with human-in-the-loop systems, active learning or learning from user corrections is nice to have • Experience running ML systems at scale with strict latency, reliability or cost constraints is nice to have • Familiarity with multimodal or generative models for document understanding is nice to have
