📋 Description

• Build and maintain Looker explores, views, and dashboards used by finance, billing, claims, pricing, and underwriting • Model data in Snowflake and SQLDBM, including semantic views • Ensure metric consistency across Looker, the warehouse, and AI agents • Reconcile discrepancies, close data-model definition gaps, and meet SOX change standards for finance reporting • Translate stakeholder requests into scoped Jira work and identify requirements gaps • Partner with data engineering through GitHub • Monitor data quality in Monte Carlo • Participate in the on-call rotation, respond to incidents, and trace root causes • Use AI tools for efficient development and help build AI agents that answer business questions • Maintain accountability for data accuracy

🎯 Requirements

• 2+ years as an analytics engineer, BI engineer, or analytics-focused data engineer • Advanced experience writing, optimizing and validating SQL queries • Experience with Looker, including LookML development, strongly preferred • Strong hands-on experience with Power BI or Tableau will also be considered • Experience modeling data for consumption, such as marts, semantic views, or dimensional models • Ability to translate business requirements into clear, scalable, and well-governed reporting/visualization solutions • Proactively identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data issues; implement data quality checks and monitoring • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders • Insurance and/or financial data experience preferred • SOX or audit familiarity strongly preferred • Willingness to learn the insurance/financial domain • Daily use of AI tools in development, with the habit of checking generated output • Fluent written and spoken English • At least four hours of daily overlap with US business hours • Must be authorized to work as a contractor in Brazil
