📋 Description

• Apply customer cash receipts accurately and in a timely manner • Manage a portfolio of 100+ customer accounts per month and follow up on outstanding balances • Communicate directly with U.S.-based customers to resolve collections issues • Partner with operations on contract or billing questions affecting collections • Support month-end and quarter-end accounts receivable close activities • Identify opportunities to improve collections processes • Perform professional accounting activities related to general accounting independently • Control, monitor, and review accounts for accuracy, documentation, and compliance • Prepare monthly/quarterly journal entries and account reconciliations • Support management with ad hoc requests • Partner with managers and internal teams to maintain processes and controls • Ensure compliance with internal policies, relevant regulations, and accounting principles

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience in a corporate accounting environment • 2+ years of experience in a corporate accounting or collections role; more experience preferred • General understanding of accounting fundamentals, including accrual vs. cash basis and payables • Prior experience managing a meaningful volume of customer accounts in a collections capacity • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, including professional customer-facing emails • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities • Proven experience working with US-based business teams • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) • Experience with NetSuite and FloQast, or a comparable large ERP or BlackLine, is a plus • CPA, CA, or ACCA is a plus but not required • Ability to work independently in a dynamic, virtual environment • Ability to work 8 hours excluding breaks, including 4 core US-hours overlap from 7:30pm–11:30pm IST and 4 flexible IST hours • Quiet workspace and internet connection of at least 30 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload
