📋 Description

• Build products and shape features from idea through production • Make product and technical tradeoffs • Analyze usage data to evaluate whether features should be built or further developed • Build end-to-end prototypes and deliberately small experiments • Identify design edge cases and suggest simpler approaches • Reassess product ideas when complexity outweighs value • Monitor what happens after features ship • Collaborate directly with Product, Design, and other engineers • Work asynchronously with few meetings • Use AI for coding, debugging, codebase exploration, prototyping, writing tests, and reviewing ideas

🎯 Requirements

• Product engineering mindset: building products, not just closing tickets • Experience making product and technical tradeoffs • Ability to take work from idea to production • Experience with PHP, Symfony, and Postgres on the backend • Experience with React and some Next.js on the frontend • Willingness to use AI for coding, debugging, codebase exploration, prototyping, testing, and reviewing ideas • Willingness to work across frontend and backend rather than remain permanently specialized • Ability to work within approximately ±2 hours of CET • Europe preferred • Must be willing to defend the use of AI in serious software engineering
