📋 Description

• Develop robust services and APIs in Kotlin, Java, or TypeScript and integrate them into web applications and, where applicable, the infrastructure • Design, develop, and test new backend services and features • Design data models, interfaces, and integrations with third-party systems • Ensure the performance, scalability, and security of web platforms and services • Develop new features from the API through to the user interface • Work on the backend with Kotlin, Java, or TypeScript (Node.js), and on the frontend with TypeScript (React) • Fix bugs and improve web applications and services • Depending on the project, contribute to cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployments • Use agentic engineering tools such as Cursor or Claude Code • Work directly with clients, generally remotely • Support team members and share learnings and best practices • Contribute to the professional development of the organization • Keep up with new trends in backend, web, and app development and discuss their potential applications

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in software development, covering both backend and web development • Experience in backend development with Kotlin, Java, or TypeScript (e.g., Node.js) • Experience designing and operating APIs (REST and/or GraphQL) • Experience in frontend development with React, Flutter, and TypeScript • Strong knowledge of web technologies (HTTP, HTML, CSS, TypeScript/JavaScript) • Experience with SQL and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) • Business-fluent German and English • Academic background in computer science, business informatics, or another relevant field of study (BSc or MSc) (a plus) • Experience with Kotlin, e.g., Spring Boot (a plus) • Experience with automated unit and integration testing (e.g., JUnit, Kotest, MockK) and code quality principles (a plus) • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure), Docker/Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability (a plus) • Experience in app development (a plus) • Experience in an agency or startup environment and with agile methodologies (a plus)
