📋 Description

• Design and build scalable backend services using Java and Spring Boot • Develop high-performance REST APIs and microservices • Build backend capabilities for subscriptions, payments and user entitlements • Implement Fire TV IAP purchase and subscription workflows • Integrate with app stores, payment providers and external platform APIs • Build workflows covering purchases, renewals, cancellations, refunds and subscription-state changes • Design reliable, idempotent transaction-processing systems • Handle retries, failures, reconciliation and eventual consistency across distributed services • Build event-driven and asynchronous workflows using messaging systems • Design systems that can handle high throughput and sudden traffic spikes • Optimize service latency, throughput, scalability and infrastructure utilization • Improve observability through logging, metrics, tracing and alerting • Troubleshoot complex production issues across distributed services • Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews and technical-design discussions

🎯 Requirements

• Strong programming experience with Java • Strong experience with Spring Boot / Spring ecosystem • Strong experience designing RESTful APIs and microservices • Solid understanding of distributed systems, concurrency and asynchronous processing • Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL/MySQL • Experience with NoSQL databases is desirable • Experience with caching technologies such as Redis • Experience with Kafka or similar event-streaming/messaging platforms • Understanding of transaction management, idempotency and data consistency • Experience with AWS or similar cloud platforms • Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD pipelines • Strong production-debugging and performance-optimization skills • 7+ years of backend engineering experience • Strong architecture and system-design expertise • Experience building high-throughput, low-latency and highly available systems • Strong understanding of failure handling and distributed-system design • Ability to independently drive complex platform integrations • Experience mentoring engineers and reviewing architecture and code
