📋 Description

• Develop, enhance, and maintain applications within an Oracle 19c database environment • Write and maintain applications using Oracle Forms 19c, Oracle Reports 19c, SQL, PL/SQL, Pro*C, and Pro*COBOL • Program in Windows and Unix environments • Make changes to Banner CIS products and develop add-on applications • Develop interface programming for batch and online systems • Estimate assigned work effort and remain accountable for deliverables and completion dates • Analyze, review, and modify programs to increase operating efficiency • Follow and improve software delivery lifecycles, programming standards, and frameworks • Develop new product investment initiatives and client-requested custom modifications and enhancements • Participate in peer-review requirements and design • Work with business analysts and end users to clarify business requirements • Create high-level and detailed design specifications addressing user goals • Formulate development plans for design deliverables • Provide 24x7 Tier 3 production application support • Support customer satisfaction in a remote distributed team

🎯 Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience working as a PL/SQL Software Developer • At least 5 years of Oracle development experience • Experience developing and maintaining PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers containing complex queries and extensive file I/O • Experience with Oracle Forms • Familiarity with navigating UNIX environments and using basic UNIX utilities • Familiarity with vi or emacs • Familiarity with awk, diff, find, grep, sed, and tar • Experience with Oracle IDEs: SQL Developer, PL/SQL Developer, or T.O.A.D. • Experience with UNIX shell scripting (sh, ksh) • Strong English documentation skills • Strong problem-solving, analysis, and troubleshooting skills • Ability to comprehend and follow established procedures • Ability to make decisions using critical reasoning • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines • Strong communication skills in English • Ability to work independently without a high degree of supervision • Ability to work as a team player and maintain effective working relationships • Effective conflict management skills • Exceptional customer service approach working with internal and external customers • Comfortable operating as part of a remote distributed team • Banner CIS experience is nice to have • AIX experience is a plus • Oracle Reports experience is a plus • Pro*C (or C/C++) experience is nice to have • Pro*COBOL (or rudimentary understanding of COBOL syntax) experience is nice to have • Capacity for increased learning
