📋 Description

• Program in Windows and Unix environments • Modify the Banner CIS product • Develop add-on applications for Banner CIS • Develop interfaces for batch and online systems • Estimate assigned work effort and remain accountable for deliverables and completion dates • Analyze, review, and modify programs to increase operating efficiency • Follow and improve software delivery lifecycles, programming standards, and frameworks • Develop new product investment initiatives and client-requested customizations and enhancements • Participate in peer-review requirements and design • Work with business analysts and end users to clarify business requirements • Create high-level and detailed design specifications addressing user goals • Formulate development plans and outline steps required for program deliverables • Provide 24x7 Tier 3 production application support • Understand application business processes and identify improvements through technology

🎯 Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience working as a PL/SQL Software Developer • 5+ years of Oracle development experience • Experience developing and maintaining PL/SQL packages, procedures, functions, and triggers with complex queries and extensive file I/O • Experience with Oracle Forms • Familiarity with UNIX environments and basic UNIX utilities; AIX is a plus • Experience using vi or emacs • Experience using awk, diff, find, grep, sed, and tar • Experience with Oracle IDEs such as SQL Developer, PL/SQL Developer, or T.O.A.D. • Experience with UNIX shell scripting (sh, ksh) • Strong English documentation skills • Strong problem-solving, analysis, and troubleshooting skills • Ability to comprehend and follow established procedures • Ability to make decisions using critical reasoning • Ability to prioritize, manage multiple responsibilities, and meet deadlines • Strong written, reading comprehension, listening, and verbal communication skills in English • Ability to work independently without a high degree of supervision • Ability to work as part of a team and maintain effective working relationships • Effective conflict management skills • Exceptional customer service approach • Comfortable operating as part of a remote distributed team • Banner CIS experience is nice to have • Oracle Reports, Pro*C or C/C++, and Pro*COBOL are nice to have
