📋 Description

• Build and maintain data collection integrations and connectors with external platforms • Integrate with REST, GraphQL, webhook, and other third-party APIs • Build scalable data pipelines for collecting, processing, normalizing, and moving large volumes of data • Implement OAuth, API keys, tokens, and other authorization flows • Handle pagination, rate limits, retries, API inconsistencies, schema changes, and data freshness • Build reusable infrastructure and frameworks for developing new integrations • Monitor and improve connector reliability, performance, and scalability • Investigate complex integration and data-quality issues across multiple systems • Translate customer data requirements into technical solutions with Product • Own integrations from initial design through production and ongoing maintenance • Work with Product and Engineering to expand Extract’s integration ecosystem

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience • Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical degree, or equivalent practical experience • Strong backend engineering skills and experience building production systems • Strong experience with RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL APIs • Understanding of HTTP, OAuth, authentication, cookies, and webhooks • Experience building or maintaining data pipelines, integrations, connectors, or data ingestion systems • Strong SQL skills and experience with structured and semi-structured data • Experience with Python or another backend programming language • Ability to investigate third-party APIs and turn documentation and behavior into reliable production integrations • Experience with Rust is a strong advantage • Experience with ETL/ELT, Reverse ETL, data integration, or data movement products is advantageous • Experience with cloud storage and data platforms across AWS, GCP, or Azure is advantageous • Experience integrating with databases, data warehouses, SaaS applications, advertising platforms, or analytics systems is advantageous • Experience designing connector frameworks or integration SDKs is advantageous • Experience with high-volume or distributed data systems is advantageous
