📋 Description

• Own hands-on engineering and operational work within the security program • Run the public bug bounty program, including triage, validation, researcher communication, and remediation follow-through • Investigate reported vulnerabilities at the code level across Rust, Go, and Python • Provide security tooling, paved-road defaults, documentation, and practical guidance to engineering teams • Partner with engineering teams to design, review, and verify security fixes • Harden and maintain GitHub organization security, including secret scanning, push protection, branch protection, dependency alerts, and code scanning • Monitor, investigate, and respond to security alerts across AWS, Kubernetes, CI/CD, and related infrastructure • Track and report vulnerability remediation SLAs, MTTR, patch latency, and critical findings to the Security Officer • Implement, configure, and maintain security tooling across development and cloud environments • Support security incident response, including investigation, containment, remediation, and follow-up • Maintain complete and auditable vulnerability and incident records • Build scalable security automation and guardrails, including CI/CD checks, policy-as-code, GitHub automation, and automated cloud security controls • Participate in threat modeling and architecture reviews • Contribute to ISMS security-tooling evaluations, technical vendor assessments, and proof-of-concept work

🎯 Requirements

• Ability to read and navigate unfamiliar Rust, Go, and Python codebases to validate vulnerability reports, trace impact, and assess fixes • Ability to write and maintain automation and security tooling • Experience triaging vulnerability reports or working with bug bounty, vulnerability disclosure, product security, or similar functions • Practical knowledge of cloud and container security, particularly AWS and Kubernetes • Familiarity with GitHub security features and securing CI/CD pipelines • Ability to investigate alerts and vulnerabilities methodically, distinguish genuine risk from noise, and recommend proportionate remediation • Clear written communication skills for working with external researchers and internal engineering teams • Self-directed approach and comfort independently managing a security queue • 3+ years of hands-on experience in security engineering, product security, or vulnerability management • Offensive security background, such as penetration testing, CTF participation, vulnerability research, or exploit analysis (nice to have) • Experience working in an open-source company or contributing security improvements to open-source projects (nice to have) • Familiarity with cloud-native incident response (nice to have)
