📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain integrations between R2’s platform and partner APIs, data pipelines, and backend systems • Gain controlled access to live partner data to identify edge cases, optimize decisioning models, and ensure data integrity and compliance • Translate customer needs into working software by building and deploying lightweight APIs, ETL jobs, or infrastructure changes • Act as the technical point of contact for new deployments by debugging systems, monitoring performance, and resolving production issues • Collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and backend engineers to tailor systems to each partner’s context • Create deployment playbooks, data access protocols, and documentation to scale secure and efficient integrations across the region

🎯 Requirements

• 6–8+ years of experience in backend, infrastructure, or data engineering, ideally in fintech or SaaS integrations • Deep experience with Python, Go, Node.js, RESTful APIs, and SQL • Strong understanding of data systems, access control, and secure data handling • Proven ability to work directly with external engineering teams and translate business and technical needs into robust integrations • Comfortable debugging production systems and working with sensitive data under strict compliance constraints • Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments and take ownership of mission-critical outcomes • Experience with financial APIs, underwriting systems, or risk infrastructure • Familiarity with data modeling, ETL, or event-driven architectures such as Kafka and Pub/Sub • Fluency in Spanish and English for collaboration with partners across Latin America • Exposure to customer-embedded roles at technology firms such as Palantir, Stripe, or API-based startups • Experience with GCP, AWS, or Snowflake is a plus
