📋 Description

• Design highly available Azure networking solutions across Azure, GCP and on-premises environments • Design monitoring solutions using KQL, Azure Workbooks, Alerts and Azure Connection Monitor • Modernize network security architecture using Azure Firewall Premium, Network Security Groups and microsegmentation • Establish Infrastructure as Prompt alongside Infrastructure as Code approaches • Design governance guardrails for Azure networking using Azure Policies, Blueprints and enterprise governance standards • Develop decentralized network management concepts without compromising security • Develop disaster recovery strategies, automated failover testing and recovery simulations • Integrate Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender and network telemetry to detect, investigate and respond to cyber threats • Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud and security teams on troubleshooting, connectivity and routing • Support teams operating Sophos-based network infrastructure • Create architectural recommendations and decision papers • Explore Zero Trust Network Access technologies including Microsoft Entra Private Access and Global Secure Access

🎯 Requirements

• Deep expertise in Azure networking, including Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, Virtual WAN, BGP, Private Link and enterprise Hub & Spoke architectures • Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender, KQL, Azure Monitor and cloud observability • Experience building intelligent monitoring, automating threat detection and proactively responding to security incidents • Passion for emerging technologies such as Infrastructure as Prompt, AI-assisted infrastructure management and intelligent network automation • Experience with Google Cloud networking, Sophos Firewall or enterprise on-premises networking is desired • Passion for learning new technologies, sharing knowledge, simplifying complex networking topics for different audiences, and helping engineering teams build secure and scalable solutions
