• Collaborate to ensure student casework is managed promptly and fairly. • Handle academic appeals, student complaints, and disciplinary matters. • Manage a portfolio of student cases, including collecting evidence and preparing case files. • Monitor progress of individual cases and ensure students are kept updated. • Provide authoritative regulatory advice on student casework processes. • Offer secretarial support for student hearings and panel meetings. • Support monitoring issues and trends for senior management updates. • Work with colleagues on institutional reports regarding student casework. • Assist in preparations for representations to the Office of the Independent Adjudicator. • Ensure effective information sharing and record keeping within the team. • Support training on casework procedures and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Experience of coordinating casework. • Proven ability to write professional, clear and concise correspondence and reports. • Experience of working in accordance with regulations, policies and procedures, and the implications of non-compliance. • Desirable: Previous experience of working in a casework coordination role in higher education. • Essential: Ability to communicate complex information clearly, both orally and in writing with excellent interpersonal skills. • Methodical with excellent attention to detail. • Ability to be patient and calm in difficult situations. • Evidence of good analytical and investigative skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office. • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. • Desirable: Educated to degree level or equivalent.
