📋 Description

• Design and evolve TypeScript services powering personalized replenishment, cross-sell, and subscription offers for Shopify stores • Work as part of an AI-native, multidisciplinary product engineering team to deliver modern software across high-volume subscription and billing systems • Design and deliver serverless TypeScript services on AWS Lambda, backed by MySQL and Prisma ORM • Contribute to React applications relying on company APIs and integrating with Shopify and Klaviyo • Own features end-to-end, from shaping customer problems and proposing architecture through implementation, monitoring, and production operation • Support Customer Success through a working-hours escalation schedule and maintain the live production system • Participate in architectural discussions and technical decision-making across Relo and Relay Commerce • Add agent context to codebases, run coding agents, build MCPs, and develop AI product features for LLM integrations such as Shopify Sidekick • Improve processes, guidelines, and documentation in a fully remote organization

🎯 Requirements

• Significant, proven, senior-level experience with JavaScript across multiple frameworks; minimum of 8 years across multiple companies • Extensive experience designing REST APIs, especially for systems integrating with third-party platforms • Deep expertise crafting TypeScript using class-oriented design, strong typing, SOLID principles, OOP patterns, and test-driven development • Strong SQL and relational database knowledge, including query performance, indexing strategies, and schema design in MySQL or another RDBMS • Clear proficiency with React, including components, interactive UI, application state, and backend API integration • Experience with cloud-native services in Amazon Web Services • Experience owning features from idea to delivery • Experience defining and shipping major features as part of a team • Ability to use AI agents such as Claude Code or Codex and explain skills, MCPs, RAG, and other AI tooling • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Customer focus • Highly desirable: Experience with predictive algorithms • Highly desirable: Experience with Shopify platform, structures, and data • Highly desirable: Experience with SRE practices and observability tools such as DataDog
