📋 Description

• Reconcile and prepare financial statements and tax returns for individuals, partnerships, trusts and companies • Communicate proactively with managers about job priorities and progress • Take ownership of delegated tasks and jobs while following checklists, procedures and quality standards • Prepare Business Activity Statements • Reconcile and complete tax returns for individuals, trusts, companies and partnerships • Communicate with clients to request information or clarification • Respond promptly to client requests and proactively manage expectations • Extract data, adjust ledger files and prepare tax working papers • Use Xero, Xero Practice Manager, Microsoft Suite, NowInfinity and Ignition • Meet daily or allocated deadlines and submit accurate, high-standard tax returns and BAS

🎯 Requirements

• At least 3 years of professional accounting experience • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce, Finance or equivalent experience • Enrolled in, or looking to enrol in, CA or CPA • Technical ability and experience using Xero, Xero Practice Manager, Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, NowInfinity and Ignition • Experience preparing Business Activity Statements, including understanding GST-free transactions • Experience completing Australian tax returns for individuals, trusts, companies and partnerships • Experience completing tax reconciliation workpapers, asset depreciation schedules, GST reconciliations, franking account reconciliations and Division 7A loan reconciliation workpapers • Experience reconciling employee leave provisions, company income tax provisions and employee superannuation liabilities • Experience calculating FBT reimbursements for motor vehicles and completing hire purchase loan schedules • Strong understanding of deductible superannuation contribution eligibility, including concessional and non-concessional caps and prior unused superannuation caps • Experience calculating capital gains on property and listed shares for individuals • Strong attention to detail and ability to complete work to prescribed deadlines
