📋 Description

• Make design and data-modelling decisions about manifests, boundaries, shared libraries, and build priorities • Build and maintain geospatial data pipelines, including syncing, validating, ingesting, and exporting datasets • Turn notebooks, prototypes, and research code into tested, modular production code • Productionise modelling pipelines and orchestration, including partitioned assets, schedules, and concurrency • Make runs reproducible and observable through manifests, pinned dataset versions, deterministic outputs, and monitoring • Build new data and monitoring products with proper dataset cataloging • Tune performance through profiling, bounded concurrency, and predictable runtime and cost • Work on the Kotlin/Spring and Postgres backend and React/Remix frontend • Own Terraform cloud infrastructure across GCP and AWS, including batch jobs, storage, IAM, CI/CD, and alerting • Run discovery sessions with scientists and analysts • Contribute to developer tooling, release scripts, agent skills, and repository instructions • Collaborate with engineers, data scientists, analysts, and domain experts to move analytical and ML prototypes into production-grade systems

🎯 Requirements

• Candidates must reside in Indonesia and have existing authorisation to work there • Strong mid-level or senior individual contributor able to own delivery independently • Strong software engineering background • Experience with design, interface, contract, data and domain modeling • Scientific programming background in any domain, such as geospatial, remote sensing, ML, signal/audio/vision, quantitative work, simulation, or bioinformatics • Comfortable across stacks and tools; able to pick up new languages and frameworks • Familiarity with modern software engineering and product-engineering practices, including discovery, scoping, and iterative delivery • Experience with testing, code review, CI/CD, modular design, and documentation • Experience productionising analytical, data science, or ML workflows • Working understanding of batch processing, reproducibility, monitoring, and deployment • Experience with scientific Python or equivalent experience in languages such as C++ or Scala • Cloud engineering experience, ideally with GCP and AWS • Pragmatic approach to engineering complexity • Comfortable with collaborative, shared-ownership work and discovery sessions with domain experts • Strong communication skills, including presenting technical solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders • Advanced proficiency in written and spoken English
