📋 Description

• Own a client delivery end to end from requirements through pilot, production, and continuous iteration • Write and maintain versioned, tested, and reviewed agent instruction sets • Build automated evaluation tests that replay past conversations and verify procedure compliance • Debug live conversations by examining system state and exact model instructions • Work directly with US enterprise clients, own technical conversations, and monitor business metrics • Build intent identification layers for voice agents • Extend negotiation flows with payment-plan guardrails • Expand evaluation suites to verify legally required disclosures • Collaborate in small client-focused teams, pair with peers, review code, and document work

🎯 Requirements

• 2 to 5 years building and running production systems • Experience being on call for something built and debugging it under pressure • Ability to write readable Python and thoughtfully review others' work • Ability to debug by forming a theory and testing it • Ability to read and understand code written by others • Experience with async code and a relational database • Comfortable working directly with clients and scoping changes from vague feedback • Strong written communication • Explicitly not required: prior “AI engineering” as a job title or a computer science degree • Preferred: LLM systems in production, eval frameworks, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, structured prompting • Preferred: conversational AI experience, voice or chat, dialogue design, IVR systems, chatbots, speech interfaces • Preferred: experience in a regulated industry such as finance, healthcare, insurance, or collections • Preferred: real-time or telephony systems, WebSockets, streaming audio, Twilio or similar • Preferred: founder or founding engineer experience
