📋 Description

• Develop, implement, and enhance statistical and Machine Learning models for credit analysis and underwriting, with a focus on the Argentine market • Build and validate Application Score and Behavior Score models across different stages of the credit lifecycle • Analyze large volumes of data to identify behavioral patterns, assess risk, and support credit decisions • Perform data exploration, cleansing, preparation, and feature selection for predictive models • Apply statistical techniques and Machine Learning algorithms to build, calibrate, and optimize credit risk models • Evaluate model performance, stability, and predictive power using statistical metrics and performance indicators • Develop queries and data-processing routines using SQL and Python • Use Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services and resources for data processing, analysis, and Data Science solution development • Work with datasets from financial institutions, credit bureaus, and other relevant sources • Document methodologies, assumptions, results, and technical decisions related to the models • Collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into analytical solutions • Partner with credit management teams to improve underwriting strategies and risk monitoring • Conduct activities with consideration for the specific characteristics of the Argentine market, using Spanish for communication and alignment

🎯 Requirements

• Strong experience as a Data Scientist, working on statistical modeling projects and predictive model development • Bachelor’s degree in Statistics or a related field • Proven experience in credit risk modeling, including the development of Application Score and/or Behavior Score models • Professional experience in banks, financial institutions, credit bureaus, and/or consulting firms working on credit-related projects • Advanced SQL skills for querying, manipulating, and analyzing large volumes of data • Practical experience with Python for data analysis, statistical model development, and Machine Learning solution implementation • Experience with Machine Learning algorithms and techniques applied to predictive model development • Knowledge of statistical methods for model evaluation, validation, and performance measurement • Practical experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in Data Science, data processing and analysis, or Machine Learning model development projects • Advanced Spanish, with the ability to communicate in professional and technical contexts • A master’s degree or postgraduate degree in Statistics, Data Science, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field is a plus • Experience with credit modeling projects focused on Latin American markets, especially Argentina, is a plus • Knowledge of logistic regression, decision trees, Random Forest, and Gradient Boosting is a plus • Experience with AUC, Gini, KS, and PSI is a plus • Knowledge of model validation, calibration, monitoring, and production performance tracking is a plus • Experience with credit bureau data and variables related to financial history and payment behavior is a plus • Knowledge of governance, documentation, explainability, and monitoring of analytical models is a plus
