📋 Description

• Deliver high-quality audit services to global clients • Provide timely, high-quality client service, including planning, budgeting, and coordinating all client deliverables • Understand team members’ skill sets and capabilities; monitor and review work to ensure quality and skill development • Manage larger, more complex engagement teams, ensuring client satisfaction and team morale • Communicate proactively and confidently with all levels at the firm and client • Supervise the engagement team, tasks, and budget • Manage audits from planning to completion, including review and sign-off on key audit sections • Conduct audits in terms of International Standards of Auditing

🎯 Requirements

• Recent, hands-on external audit experience with U.S. affordable housing entities, properties or programs • Candidates must have external audit experience with at least one U.S. affordable housing program, funding structure, or housing entity, including LIHTC, HUD-assisted housing / Section 8, Public Housing / PHAs, HOME, HTF, tax-exempt bond-financed affordable housing, USDA Rural Development housing, or other U.S. affordable housing programs or structures • 6+ years of Public Accounting audit experience • Completion of training or articles and not out of audit for more than 2 years • Mainly Public Accounting firm experience • At least 2 years of experience leading audit teams and managing engagements • Experience managing audits from planning through completion • Strong understanding of applicable U.S. accounting, auditing, and compliance requirements • Experience supervising engagement teams, managing budgets, reviewing audit work, and meeting deadlines • CaseWare or CCH experience • Previous external audit experience with U.S.-based clients • Legal right to work in South Africa or Zimbabwe • Minimum fibre internet connection with proven bandwidth of 50Mbps upload and 50Mbps download, latency no more than 30ms, and connectivity sustainable during power interruptions; satellite connectivity such as Starlink or AWS Leo is unsuitable • Strong communication skills (written and verbal) • A proactive and solutions-driven mindset • High learning agility • Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
