📋 Description

• Independently own the general ledger for selected group entities • Maintain fixed asset ledgers, payroll accounting, accruals, prepayments and FX revaluation • Prepare input for month-end and year-end close and review balance sheet account reconciliations • Analyse income statement and balance sheet variances • Prepare and post intercompany calculations and invoices • Prepare and review VAT returns, statutory reporting, financial statements and audit documentation • Support accounts payable across group entities, including coding, VAT treatment, approval routing and disputed or complex items • Reconcile the AP subledger to the general ledger and investigate unidentified bank postings • Own the finance-side rollout of a new invoice processing tool, including process design, vendor and GL mapping, data validation, testing and documentation • Collaborate with Accounts Receivable, Tax and other teams to ensure accurate accounting

🎯 Requirements

• At least five years of experience in general ledger accounting, in an international, multi-entity environment • Proven ability to close a set of entities independently, and to pick up an existing process quickly with limited handover • Solid understanding of VAT treatment on cross-border transactions within the EU, including reverse charge and intra-EU acquisitions • Practical experience of an accounts payable process in a multi-country environment • Experience preparing statutory financial statements and supporting external audits • Experience in an ERP system, preferably NetSuite, including multi-currency accounting • Experience of implementing or rolling out an invoice automation or P2P tool is a strong plus • Degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field • Fluency in spoken and written English • Strong Excel skills • Available at short notice
