📋 Description

• Initiate and actively drive the adoption of good patterns, structures and technologies for development and operations • Investigate and identify practices and work that can benefit from automation • Monitor and suggest improvements to the existing CI/CD process to increase speed, safety and reliability • Implement and coordinate implementation with the parties involved • Develop and maintain existing GitLab CI pipeline libraries • Assist developers with setting up CI/CD for their projects and provide support for issues that arise • Stay up to date with the latest tools and industry trends • Provide senior-level best-practice recommendations and implementations for Windows, Linux and Kubernetes hosting environments • Mentor junior team members through technical guidance and learning recommendations • Educate team members and Application Development Teams about platforms used and hosted by the team, including GitLab, Docker, AWS, Terraform, Istio Service Mesh, Kubernetes, Kafka and ELK • Work with the Security team to remediate high-risk vulnerabilities and scrutinize environment security for appropriate use cases • Offer related services and project support to Group companies as instructed by the Line Manager

🎯 Requirements

• University degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a similar discipline • 7+ years’ experience in AWS cloud, release pipeline management, Windows Server administration, Linux administration, certificate management, PowerShell scripting, Bash/Python scripting, configuration management, IaC with Ansible/Terraform, DNS and networking • Enterprise-level Kubernetes experience • Solid Linux administration skills • Commitment to continuous improvement, observability, modern application architecture, blue-green/canary deployments and CI/CD pipeline management • Ability to self-motivate, learn emerging technologies and meet business deadlines • Experience with Istio, Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, MSK and New Relic • Familiarity with database concepts • Experience with at least one cloud provider, preferably AWS • Experience with Apache Kafka configuration and troubleshooting • Experience with ELK configuration and troubleshooting • Scripting skills in Bash, PowerShell, Python, Go or similar
