📋 Description

• Conduct safety evaluations and testing of equipment in field installation settings • Manage, execute, and report on projects requiring safety evaluations under national safety standards • Conduct occasional product testing in the SGS laboratory as work dictates • Conduct field labeling evaluations under SGS CRS US Field Evaluation Body Program requirements • Deliver field evaluation reports and required documentation within defined time frames • Communicate field evaluation report results with customers • Review customer responses to non-compliance letter reports as needed • Review pre-evaluation documents before starting assignments • Schedule travel and execute evaluations to minimize travel time and expenses • Provide travel and expense cost estimates as requested • Execute field inspections within assigned time frames and cost estimates • Submit final travel and expense costs promptly • Perform work in accordance with the SGS Integrity Policy and internal standards, policies, and procedures • Perform other assigned or required duties

🎯 Requirements

• Associate degree in an Electrical/Mechanical field and minimum 2 years of relevant work experience, or technical degree/equivalent training and minimum 5 years of relevant work experience • In-depth knowledge of the National Electrical Code, UL and NFPA Safety Standards, and SEMI S2 Safety Standards desired • Knowledge of European Machinery and Low Voltage Directives, EN 60204, and Functional Safety Standards is a plus • Ability to travel within and outside the US approximately 50–75% of the time • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills • Good team spirit and adaptability • Ability to communicate effectively with SGS personnel and clients outside the US • High level of accuracy and good presentation skills • Proficient use of MS Word and Excel; Internet skills required • Experience operating hand-held multi-meters, amp probes, dielectric testers, insulation resistance testers, and temperature recording equipment • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and deal with ambiguity • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize them accordingly • Ability to interpret specifications to satisfy customer requirements
