📋 Description

• Lead and mentor a team of 6–10 senior engineers, potentially across multiple squads • Own technical strategy, architecture, and delivery for complex engineering initiatives • Partner with Product and business stakeholders to align engineering priorities with business outcomes • Drive scalable, reliable, and high-performing system architecture • Manage cross-team dependencies, resource allocation, delivery risks, and technical trade-offs • Develop senior engineers and mentor future Engineering Managers and technical leaders • Drive hiring, performance management, succession planning, and team structure decisions • Balance feature delivery with technical debt, platform improvements, reliability, and scalability • Establish engineering practices around architecture, CI/CD, observability, quality, and operational excellence • Foster a culture of ownership, collaboration, accountability, experimentation, and continuous improvement

🎯 Requirements

• 4+ years of experience managing engineering teams, including senior engineers • Strong experience delivering complex initiatives across multiple teams or product domains • Strong software engineering background with experience in technologies such as Java/Go, Kubernetes, Cloud Services, CI/CD, microservices, and messaging systems • Experience leading architecture discussions and influencing engineering strategy • Strong understanding of scalable distributed systems, APIs, reliability, and performance • Experience partnering closely with Product Managers and business stakeholders on roadmaps and prioritization • Proven ability to mentor senior engineers and develop future engineering leaders • Strong experience with Agile delivery and managing complex cross-functional dependencies • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and decision-making skills • Preferred: Experience working in FinTech, Payments, Banking, eCommerce, or high-scale consumer technology products • Preferred: Experience managing multiple squads or interconnected engineering domains • Preferred: Experience building platforms or products serving large-scale user bases
