📋 Description

• Lead the architectural vision and end-to-end delivery of complex web applications and core platform services • Architect, build, and maintain production-grade SaaS applications across the full stack • Design resilient APIs, database schemas, and cloud-native services that scale with business growth • Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering leaders to solve operational and financial challenges • Architect and implement agentic AI capabilities and intelligent workflows, including document processing, classification, and decision-support systems • Establish guardrails, evaluation frameworks, fallback strategies, and observability for AI features • Build engineering harnesses, automated workflows, and internal developer tooling • Introduce AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity • Identify and eliminate performance bottlenecks in APIs, data pipelines, and backend microservices • Mentor engineers and lead technical architecture reviews • Raise standards for code quality, testing, and system design • Participate in interviews, reference verification, and required background screening as part of the hiring process

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years shipping and running production SaaS • Experience with scalable distributed systems, APIs, and service boundaries • Extensive TypeScript and Node.js experience • Experience with relational and document databases • Full-stack ownership from schema through API and UI to production • Experience building internal developer tooling, automation, and paved paths • Cloud deployment, monitoring, incident response, observability, and security experience • Experience building and shipping AI-powered product capabilities in production • Ability to evaluate, monitor, and improve production AI systems • Mentoring experience and ability to establish lasting engineering standards • Ability to work autonomously in ambiguous environments • Experience with NestJS, React or Vue, Postgres or MySQL, MongoDB, AWS, Kubernetes or Rancher is nice to have • Experience with Cursor, Claude Code or Copilot; Grafana, Prometheus or OpenTelemetry is nice to have • Experience with agentic systems, multi-agent workflows, LLM observability, sandboxed agent execution, and AI data pipelines is nice to have • Experience working asynchronously in globally distributed teams and in FinTech, Accounting, Compliance, or RegTech is nice to have • Consent to required background screening, which may include education, criminal history, political exposure, bankruptcy, and adverse credit history checks
