📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Java applications for mission-critical systems in the public transportation and aerospace sectors • Design scalable solutions that meet the stringent reliability and security requirements of the transportation and aerospace industries • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including systems engineers, product managers, and quality assurance specialists • Conduct code reviews and establish best practices • Optimize and refactor existing applications • Participate in technical design discussions and contribute to architectural decisions for large-scale distributed systems • Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in production environments • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and relevant industry standards

🎯 Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience • At least 5 years of professional experience developing production-ready Java applications in mission-critical environments • Proven expertise in designing and implementing scalable distributed systems, with a focus on reliability and performance • Advanced proficiency in Java, including concurrency, memory management, and performance optimization • Experience developing applications subject to strict security and compliance requirements in regulated industries (transportation, aerospace, or similar) • Master’s degree or relevant certifications in safety-critical systems (e.g., DO-178C, IEC 61508) — preferred • Experience with real-time, embedded, or safety-critical applications in the aerospace or transportation sectors — preferred • Demonstrated leadership in technical design discussions and architectural governance for complex distributed systems — preferred
