📋 Description

• Support fixed-asset accounting and capital expenditure reporting across assigned hotel properties and corporate entities • Monitor capital projects, commitments, invoices, approvals, budgets, forecasts and cash-flow movements • Maintain construction-in-progress and fixed-asset records, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, retirements, disposals, write-offs and reconciliations • Prepare construction and capital expenditure reports, investigate variances and record adjusting and job-cost entries • Review capital expenditure invoices, purchase asset requests and project changes against established controls and supporting documentation • Coordinate with hotel, operations, project management and finance stakeholders • Prepare capital-call and owner reimbursement packages and reconcile associated accounts when assigned • Support insurance accounting, claims-related reconciliations, recoveries, lease tracking, right-of-use asset and lease liability schedules, and fleet administration for designated assignments • Provide guidance regarding capitalization, repairs and maintenance, project documentation, asset classification, transfers and disposals • Prepare audit-ready schedules and documentation and improve the timeliness and accuracy of capital project records • Serve as a primary accounting contact for assigned properties, resolve routine exceptions and escalate complex matters to the Senior Manager

🎯 Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant accounting experience in fixed assets, capital expenditure accounting or capital-project financial control • Practical experience with general ledger postings, account reconciliations, variance investigation and Excel-based reports • Experience using an ERP or general accounting system; experience with SAP, QuickBooks, Sage or similar systems is acceptable • Ability to communicate clearly with non-accounting stakeholders and maintain accurate records across multiple deadlines • Working knowledge of US GAAP and the ability to apply accounting policies to complex or non-routine transactions • Ability to create and maintain basic reports with Excel • Experience with Yardi, hospitality-related fixed assets or multi-property accounting (nice to have) • Experience with Transcendent or another capital-project tracking platform (nice to have)
