SSP International is a nonprofit organization that runs immersive, research-based STEM education programs for high school students. Founded in 1959, its flagship offering is the Summer Science Program — a rigorous five-week residential research experience in areas such as astrophysics, biochemistry, bacterial genomics, synthetic chemistry, and cell/cellular biology. SSP International focuses on hands-on scientific inquiry, teamwork, mentorship, and preparing motivated adolescents for advanced study and careers in science, while maintaining an active alumni network and partnerships with universities and community organizations.
