📋 Description

• Receive, triage, and manage high-volume cardiology referral intakes • Track referral requests from initial receipt through authorization approval and closure • Submit, track, and secure prior authorizations for cardiology office visits and specialist consultations • Verify insurance eligibility, copays, coinsurance, and network benefits across Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial carriers • Coordinate with referring physician offices to obtain missing clinical documentation • Communicate coverage details and next steps to patients • Manage Epic EHR referral workqueues daily • Maintain accurate data entry, status updates, and clinical documentation • Contact insurance representatives to resolve authorization delays and clarify medical necessity documentation

🎯 Requirements

• Direct hands-on experience using Epic EMR, specifically Referral and Authorization Workqueues • Experience operating within a large medical group, health system, or enterprise clinical setting • Prior experience in a Cardiology practice or multi-specialty group • Exposure to Medicare Advantage, state Medicaid programs, and major commercial payers • Bilingual English/Spanish required for 2 of the 4 available openings • Ability to manage high-volume cardiology referral intakes and prior authorizations • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial carrier plans, including HMO, PPO, and POS • Experience verifying insurance eligibility, copays, coinsurance, and network benefits • Experience navigating Epic EHR referral workqueues and maintaining accurate clinical documentation • Ability to coordinate with referring provider offices, patients, and insurance representatives
