📋 Description

• Write elegant, performant, and well-tested code • Develop features, bug fixes, tests, and infrastructure code • Work with product and engineering teams to understand feature purpose and deliver improvements • Define, communicate, and execute work plans • Break larger features into smaller actionable tasks • Reduce technical debt and communicate larger refactors • Support peers through pairing, code review, and mentoring • Prepare pull requests and help ship work • Participate in broader engineering efforts • Contribute to the Platform roadmap and prioritisation • Work with in-country product teams to understand product requests and clarify requirements • Serve as a link between country teams and informal-sector retailers, helping upskill internal teams’ technical knowledge • Report to Boost’s Chief Technology Officer

🎯 Requirements

• 5+ years’ experience in a relevant field • Deep knowledge of Python and ability to write clear, Pythonic code • Strong AI expertise and an AI-first mindset • Experience with relational databases and SQL; PostgreSQL is used • Experience with cloud infrastructure; AWS is used • Relevant experience in a similar role, preferably within a fast-growing startup • Engineering, mathematical, or scientific background • Ability to work remotely • Strong communication and collaboration abilities • Experience or willingness to support peers through pair programming, reviewing, and mentoring
