📋 Description

• Own and advance a multi-year observability maturity roadmap for the global network • Architect unified observability solutions spanning monitoring platforms • Define predictive alerting and anomaly detection capabilities • Build observability use cases grounded in business goals • Set observability best practices and standards across regions • Evaluate emerging observability and AIOps technologies • Design analytics workflows combining wire data, infrastructure metrics, and flow analysis • Build predictive capacity planning models using historical performance data • Create executive-level dashboards correlating network health with business outcomes • Develop anomaly detection and behavioral baseline analytics • Design cross-tool correlation logic to speed root cause analysis • Advance visualization strategy across reporting platforms • Lead tool portfolio rationalization and cost optimization reviews • Build business cases and ROI models for observability investments • Quantify monitoring value through uptime, MTTR, and cost avoidance • Lead proof-of-concept evaluations for observability technologies • Assess build-versus-buy decisions for observability platforms • Serve as senior technical voice on observability across the global network organization • Partner with regional network teams to ensure consistent adoption of observability standards • Work with the NOC to operationalize telemetry, health checks, and alerting • Present observability strategy, roadmap, and business impact to executive stakeholders

🎯 Requirements

• 10–15+ years of network engineering experience, with significant observability, monitoring architecture, or network analytics experience • Experience architecting observability solutions across multiple platforms in a large, multi-site environment • Strong knowledge of routing, switching, and SD-WAN • Experience with NetScout, DX NetOps, NetFlow, Grafana, and PowerBI, or equivalent platforms • Experience building predictive or anomaly detection capabilities • Experience developing business cases, ROI models, and executive-level infrastructure investment communications • Strong stakeholder management skills across regional teams • Bachelor's degree in Network Engineering or a related field required, or equivalent experience • Certifications listed include CCIE, CCDE, F5/load-balancer certification, and SNIA Storage Networking Certificate • Ability to execute instructions and request clarification • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations • Attention to detail and accuracy • Ability to communicate clearly and conduct formal presentations • Ability to interact effectively with all levels of management • Negotiation and persuasive idea-selling abilities • Strong multicultural interpersonal, leadership, organizational, and time-management skills • Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines • Ability to maintain confidentiality and organizational standards • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision • Ability to build effective working relationships • Ability to learn new systems and technology quickly • Advanced proficiency with relevant computer system applications • Consistent non-standard work or overtime as business requires • On-call availability as necessary • Some travel required
