📋 Description

• Own the general ledger across four entities and several creative brands • Prepare the final general ledger and P&L for Head of Finance sign-off • Run the monthly close and deliver the financial package by the 10th • Review the Finance Officer’s reconciliations and expense coding • Maintain a clean balance sheet with no unreconciled suspense accounts or unexplained transactions • Maintain intercompany balances across US, UK and merchandise entities • Build and maintain cost-allocation logic for shared overhead across brands • Lead monthly forecast-versus-actual variance analysis and explain the drivers • Investigate struggling or new ventures to identify cash leakage • Maintain individual P&Ls for creative channels • Support rolling cash forecasts across entities, including inventory and production commitments • Explain financial insights and results to leadership

🎯 Requirements

• 5 or more years in accounting and finance • Real exposure to multi-entity or multi-currency environments • Startup, outsourced-accounting or SME background is a strong fit • Deep Xero proficiency, including chart-of-accounts design and multi-entity handling • Expert Google Sheets or Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and building models from scratch • CPA, CMA or equivalent preferred, but not required where operational depth is strong • Investigative instinct and ability to identify the causes of financial changes • Ability to challenge incorrect numbers, including with senior colleagues • Ability to explain financial results to non-finance founders in plain language and defend the analysis • Ability to work across US, UK and merchandise entities and maintain clean intercompany balances
