📋 Description

• Own and articulate Keet’s long-term vision as the world’s leading private, peer-to-peer communication app • Build a roadmap based on competitive analysis of WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, LINE, WeChat, and emerging competitors • Present product vision, strategy, metrics, and progress to the board and executive leadership • Define measurable growth strategies across acquisition, activation, retention, and virality • Develop deep working knowledge of the Holepunch P2P stack, including Pear, Bare, Hypercore, Hyperswarm, HyperDHT, Autobase, and Hyperbee • Partner with engineering on P2P challenges including NAT traversal, offline sync, multi-device support, large groups, push notifications, and mobile efficiency • Own 1:1 and group voice/video calling and screen sharing to a quality level matching or exceeding Google Meet and Zoom • Define stable versus experimental feature tiers • Use AI coding and design tools to build prototypes and demos within days • Lead the product team and manage sprint planning, prioritization, standups, reviews, and retrospectives • Own deliverables from conception through release, testing, and post-launch iteration • Maintain issue trackers and roadmaps reflecting priorities and sprint commitments • Coordinate engineering, QA, design, marketing, business stakeholders, and cross-team dependencies across Holepunch and Tether • Provide transparent updates on status, risks, and timeline changes and address accountability • Own iOS and Android mobile release processes, including App Store and Google Play submissions, compliance, listings, ratings, and release management • Oversee desktop distribution and installers for macOS, Windows, and Linux • Build privacy-preserving crash reporting, debugging, and analytics systems

🎯 Requirements

• 8+ years of product management experience, including significant time in a senior or lead role owning a consumer product end to end • Proven track record of setting product vision and driving it to measurable outcomes at scale (tens of millions of users or more) • Experience leading engineers and running sprint cadences with predictable delivery across cross-functional teams • Deep JavaScript and React skills; ability to read and write production code, review pull requests, and build working prototypes • Intuition for distributed and local-first systems, including sync, offline behavior, and consistency trade-offs • Hands-on experience shipping and scaling mobile apps on iOS and Android • Deep familiarity with App Store and Google Play logistics, review processes, and release management • Experience with real-time voice and video calling products and related quality, latency, and reliability trade-offs • Demonstrated ability to use AI tools to rapidly prototype and demonstrate product concepts • Exceptional communication skills, including presenting vision and strategy to boards, executives, and investors • Judgment to make fast, high-quality decisions with incomplete information • Willingness to work in a high-intensity, fast-moving environment and work extended hours when required • Excellent written and spoken English • Experience at a major messaging app such as WhatsApp, Telegram, LINE, WeChat, Signal, Viber, or KakaoTalk is nice to have • Experience with peer-to-peer technologies, distributed systems, or decentralized protocols is nice to have • Prior exposure to Holepunch, Pear, or Hypercore is a strong plus • Experience growing a product in emerging markets or across multiple regions and languages is nice to have • Background in privacy, encryption, or security-focused products is nice to have • Familiarity with Electron, React Native, installer systems, boot performance, and Linux packaging is nice to have • Understanding of unit, integration, end-to-end, test automation, and performance testing is nice to have • Engineering background or computer science degree is nice to have • Experience with Git, issue trackers, and modern collaboration tools is nice to have • Application must include a link to a shipped product or prototype and an explanation of how to take Keet to 1 billion users
