📋 Description

• Translate and proofread Life Science documents from English into Simplified Chinese (China) • Serve as a client-facing linguistic point of contact for TransPerfect • Review and investigate client complaints and quality-related issues • Determine root causes and provide documented responses and corrective actions • Maintain language quality standards across projects and accounts • Manage translation memories, glossaries, and style guides • Work with Project Managers on project requirements, scope, timelines, and client expectations • Gather and relay client feedback and incorporate it into ongoing and future work • Manage and guide a group of linguists, including assigning work and providing feedback • Ensure adherence to client requirements and quality standards • Translate CTD Quality, CTD Non-Clinical, and CTD Clinical materials • Ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with client and regulatory terminology

🎯 Requirements

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English and Simplified Chinese (China) • Expertise in one or more specified CTD fields: Quality, Non-Clinical, or Clinical • Strong attention to detail, including spelling and grammar accuracy • Ability to maintain professionalism and deliver high-quality work under tight deadlines • Strong client communication skills and ability to handle complaints and feedback diplomatically • Ability to manage, mentor, and give clear feedback to other linguists • Strong organizational skills and ability to collaborate with Project Managers and cross-functional teams • Applicants must meet at least one of: a degree in Translation, Linguistics, Language Studies, or equivalent translation-training program; 2 years of professional translation experience plus a college degree; 5 years of professional translation experience without a college degree; or a translation competence certificate issued by an appropriate government authority • Preferred academic background in pharmacy, pharmaceutical sciences, chemistry, biochemistry, or a related field • Experience translating regulatory/pharmaceutical documents • Familiarity with CTD structure and terminology and CMC technical content • Prior experience in a lead, reviewer, or quality management role, including handling client feedback or complaints • Experience with language asset management, including translation memories, termbases, and style guides • Experience with CAT tools • Applicants must sign a confidentiality agreement • Applicants must complete translation and MTPE assessments • Ability to provide a per-word translation rate and hourly MTPE rate in USD • English and Simplified Chinese language proficiency required
