📋 Description

• Lead day-to-day financial operations for the Finance Project Delivery team • Develop and support team members • Ensure accurate and timely execution of accounting and reconciliation activities • Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain strong internal controls • Drive process improvements through Practical Process Improvement (PPI), automation, and responsible use of AI • Reduce manual effort and improve operational efficiency • Build a high-performing team • Contribute to financial and operational excellence • Support Thermo Fisher Scientific’s mission to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer

🎯 Requirements

• Advanced Degree plus 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years of experience in accounting • Minimum 1–2 years in a supervisory role • Professional accounting qualification (CPA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred • Additional certifications in relevant areas are advantageous • Deep knowledge of US GAAP, SOX requirements, and financial reporting processes • Strong proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, JD Edwards) and Microsoft Office Suite • Experience with financial tools like Blackline and Hyperion preferred • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail • Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience developing and mentoring teams • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively across all organizational levels • Experience in shared services or large multinational organizations preferred • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a professional environment • Process improvement mindset with ability to identify and implement efficiencies • English language proficiency required; additional languages beneficial • Demonstrated success maintaining strong internal controls and SOX compliance
