• Guide critical strategic initiatives that drive Thermo Fisher Scientific's mission of enabling customers to make the world healthier, cleaner, and safer • Oversee complex, cross-functional projects spanning multiple divisions • Work closely with leadership to deliver impactful results • Establish project governance frameworks • Enhance operational efficiency • Develop collaborative teams • Manage portfolios of strategic initiatives focused on business growth, operational efficiency, and digital transformation • Ensure alignment with corporate objectives • Lead key programs that contribute to the company's growth and success in serving science globally
• Advanced Degree plus 6 years of experience, or Bachelor's Degree plus 8 years of progressive project/program management experience in complex organizations • Preferred Fields of Study: Business, Clinical research, or related field • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification highly desired • Lean Six Sigma certification preferred (Green Belt minimum, Black Belt ideal) • Demonstrated success leading large-scale transformation initiatives and change management programs • Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and resource management • Excellent stakeholder management abilities and leadership communication skills • Experience developing and supporting successful teams • Experience working in regulated environments, preferably life sciences or healthcare • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities • Ability to operate effectively in a matrix organization • Expertise in project management methodologies, tools, and best practices • Demonstrated ability to influence through collaboration • Proficiency with project management software and MS Office suite • Travel required by role (typically 20-40%) • Strong risk management and decision-making capabilities • Excellent organizational and time management skills • Ability to work effectively across different time zones and cultures
