📋 Description

• Provide leadership to a system-wide/cross-functional team • Plan integration and implementation of new technology • Guide and contribute to the direction of multiple projects • Influence customer/user groups and teams • Solve highly technical and complex problems for one or more projects • Develop and improve strategic processes and project direction • Transfer technical knowledge and skills • Engineer, deploy, and support the TNS Global IP backbone network • Deliver Ethernet-based services defined by the Metro Ethernet Forum • Design and support routing protocols, WAN/LAN topologies, MPLS, data centers, and load balancers • Assess vendors and hardware and make recommendations • Develop equipment and design specifications for budgetary planning • Provide technical leadership and end-to-end process ownership

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years of design and operations experience in large scale multiprotocol global IP/ISP networks • 5+ years of experience and expert in TCP/IP and routing protocols (RSVP, LDP, BGP, ISIS, OSPF, PIM, BFD, and FRst Reroute technologies) • 3+ years of experience with architecture and provisioning of MPLS networks and services including Traffic Engineering, Carrier Ethernet, MPLS L2 and L3 VPNs, VPLS, Circuit Emulation, IPSec, VPNs, IP Multicast, and QOS/COS • 5+ years of experience and expert in layer-2 Ethernet technologies • 3+ years working knowledge of Data Center design and operation • Expertise in current industry WAN technologies/products (SONET, SDH, TDM, Metro Ethernet, etc.) • 5+ years of extensive hands-on experience with the configuration, debugging, and problem resolution of complex Cisco and/or Juniper based networks • Experienced with command-line interfaces and skilled in effective use of network monitoring and analysis tools such as SolarWinds, SPLUNK, and similar tools • B.S. (or equivalent) in Information Technology, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering • Certified in applicable Cisco and Juniper technologies • Optional: IP Multicast; Service Provider class Juniper and Cisco routers and switches; Server Load-Balancing; UNIX/Linux; Traffic Generators; Project Management; PERL programming; XML-based management
