📋 Description

• Own the Product & Engineering organisation for Coda and FP&A end to end, including team, architecture, delivery and roadmap • Report directly to the General Manager of Coda & FP&A • Define and deliver the long-term business strategy with the General Manager • Translate business priorities into product, technology and investment plans • Set engineering strategy and technical direction for Coda and FP&A codebases, mainly Java, C and TypeScript • Lead platform modernisation while protecting service stability and customer confidence • Own product strategy and roadmap based on customer needs, market opportunity and commercial goals • Sponsor strategic customer relationships, key opportunities and business-critical escalations • Collaborate with Sales, Customer Success, Marketing and Finance on customer and commercial outcomes • Lead portfolio investment decisions across customer needs, commercial opportunity, innovation, modernisation, resilience and technical debt • Improve delivery speed and agility while maintaining enterprise reliability • Lead, mentor and grow product and engineering teams of approximately 70 people • Strengthen management layers, hiring plans and career paths • Build succession and talent plans and shape scalable organisational structures and operating models • Define and champion an AI strategy for the product and engineering department • Own operational excellence covering uptime, security, performance and quality • Establish sprint cadence, DORA metrics, quality gates and OKRs • Use customer, product, engineering and operational data to inform priorities and investment decisions • Report transparently on portfolio performance, delivery, platform health and risk • Represent Coda and FP&A in company-wide product and technical leadership discussions and Unit4 executive forums • Engage with key customers on product and architectural topics and escalations

🎯 Requirements

• 10+ years in engineering leadership • At least 5 years managing engineering managers or multiple teams • Proven ability to own both product and engineering • Experience leading a complex, global Product & Engineering organisation through growth, modernisation and organisational change strongly preferred • Hands-on experience with financial applications required • Startup experience, or equivalent startup-level speed and agility inside a larger organisation • Strong hands-on fluency in Java, C, and TypeScript, or closely comparable languages • Depth to make and defend architecture and technical trade-off decisions • Experience balancing technical debt and maintenance with innovation while protecting platform stability • Hands-on experience applying AI to software engineering at team scale with measurable results • Informed point of view on how AI will change engineering and the product • Strong product instincts and ability to translate customer and market signals into a growth- and revenue-aligned roadmap • Ability to connect product and technology strategy to measurable customer, commercial and business outcomes • Enterprise customer focus, including direct engagement with major accounts, escalations and advisory input • Proven people leadership in hiring, developing and retaining product and engineering talent • Experience building and coaching leadership teams, strengthening succession and creating scalable operating models • Excellent communication skills across technical, business, customer and commercial audiences • Ability to provide executive recommendations, explain trade-offs and influence effectively • Background checks/security clearance may be required for customer projects and sensitive customer data access • Disclosure of right to work, personal identification and work history may be required subject to applicable local laws
